Jagd im frühen Minnesang – zur Wandlungsfähigkeit eines Motivkomplexes

Lieben und Falknern – das ist keineswegs immer eine Geschichte mit tragischem Ausgang. Im Gegenteil: Gerade der frühe Minnesang ist sich der sprachlichen Möglichkeiten des Motivkomplexes der minne-Jagd bewusst und nutzt diese zu einem anspielungsreichen Sprach-Spiel, bei dem es um die öffentliche Vergewisserung der eigenen Litarizität geht. Je nach entworfenem Kontext (minne-Leid bzw. -Erfolg) inszenieren die Lieder ein Verweisungssystem auf den kontingenten Grundlagen der eigenen Kultur mit dem Ziel, diese Kultur in ihrem Reichtum – und damit auch dem Reichtum lyrischer Dichtung – zu präsentieren.

Loving and falconers – this is not always a story with a tragic ending. On the contrary: the early Minnesang is aware of the linguistic possibilities of complex motif of the “love-hunt” and uses these to create an evocative linguistic game, in which the aim is to establish publicly the literary nature of the author's work. Depending on the context in question (suffering for Minne or success) the songs orchestrate a system of references to the foundations of their own culture with the aim of presenting this culture in its richness – and thus also in the richness of lyric poetry.
